The Heica Fluffy Feeder, with its 4cm holes that can be used with any hay type increases equine welfare by:
- Extending time spent eating
- Simulating natural grazing patterns (pulling, ground-feeding, and moving)
- Offers a natural eating posture (proven to be better for their backs!)
- Keeps hay clean from mud, dirt, and grime--waterproof and machine washable!
- Decreases boredom and keeps them mentally engaged!
- Fits 2-4 flakes of hay depending on hay type and density. (24.8” diameter)
It can be used in the stall, paddock, pasture, or wherever you keep your horse both indoors and outdoors. The holes are 4cm, diameter of the feeder is 24.8 inches, available in fuschia and gray. Not intended for non-equines or horses with shoes. Machine washable! Hay not included. Mesh is made from recycled seatbelts and color may vary slightly. How to Use:
1. Undo the buttons on your Heica feeder.
2. Stuff with hay! Any amount of hay can be used. The fuller the feeder, the more difficult the pull, so you can adjust to your horse's preferences.
3. Close the buttons securely and give to your horse!
For horses who need help adjusting to the feeder, it can help to tug out some bites through the holes before giving to them. It can also help to reduce the amount of hay in the feeder to make it easier for them to tug it out.
