Sweet Billy’s Bits Bridleless Loose-Ring Snaffle Bit – a handcrafted, leather alternative for horses who go best without a headstall. Designed to offer communication without constraint, this bridleless bit combines the guiding feel of a snaffle or sidepull with the lack of a headstall or noseband, making it ideal for sensitive horses, bit-hating mouths, preventing tooth damage, or minimal tack setups.

• Loops around the lower jaw and buckles under the chin—no headstall needed

• Guides similarly to a traditional o-ring snaffle with the added comfort of leather

• Changes shape over time to create a perfect anatomical fit for your individual horse

• Unlike traditional metal options, it is much less likely to damage teeth, bars, or tongue when fitted and used correctly

• Crafted from premium Herman Oak leather with sliding rings for full adjustability

HOW TO USE

• Put in the mouth similar to a bitted bridle.
• Buckle under the chin, ensuring at least 1-2 finger's width between the chin groove and the buckle, ensuring that the tongue and lips are not depressed at rest. It should not be overly tightened.

CARE

For best longevity of the product:

• Wipe dry after use
• Treat with a horse-safe natural oil (olive, flaxseed, etc.) on a regular basis
• Do not use traditional leather tack cleaning products as these can be toxic if ingested by the horse
  
• Leather may mold if introduced to humidity. Check for molding before use.

• The bit should be adjusted such that it is possible for the horse to spit the bit out. It should be used on horses who have already accepted a bit, and is not recommended as a first bit for horses.
